IAOMT has a lot of friends and allies among forward thinking professional groups and citizen activists. Here are some of their websites, arranged by these categories:

  1. Citizen issue advocates for Fluoride
Academic sites for biological dentistry
  • The Maxillofacial Center
Dr. Jerry Bouquot's oral pathology reference site, with information on many topics, especially his extensive study of NICO (also known as "cavitational osteonecrosis" or ischemic necrosis of bone marrow.)
  • The Melisa Medica Foundation
The Melisa Medica Foundation is dedicated to the science of metal allergy and its diagnosis when treating so-called "incurable" diseases such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS or ME), Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or other autoimmune and allergic diseases. The website has an extensive library of articles on the subject.
  • Natural Health Science News
Natural Health Science News™, a project of Praktikos Institute, collects all the day's science news in the field of natural medicine. The site also serves as an information clearinghouse where consumers can learn about the latest developments in what may also be referred to as complementary and alternative or integrative medicine.
Professional Organizations

We seek alliances with organizations that advocate integrative health approaches, because the distinction between medicine and dentistry is artificial. Doctors who recognize that the mouth is a part of the body, and who practice medicine, and alternative medicine, aimed at mitigating the effects of metal allergy and toxicology can be found through several organizations:

The IAOMT is dedicated strictly to scientifically based biological dentistry. Dentists who are equally dedicated to practicing non-toxic dentistry, who may use techniques that are more alternative or holistic, can be found through these organizations:

Health Freedom Advocacy Groups
  • American Association for Health Freedom
The American Association for Health Freedom is the political voice for health care practitioners who use nutritional and other complementary therapies in patient care. Complementary health care providers and consumers need an advocate... on Capitol Hill, in the state legislatures, in the courts, and with the media.
  • Health Freedom USA
Rima Laibow, MD, provides information and a call to activism concerning the looming threat of the Codex Alimentarius, the worldwide attempt to regulate and reduce access to nutritional supplements.
Citizen Issue Advocacy Groups for Mercury
  • MercuryExposure.info
Reporting on background and breaking stories in the consumers' battle to end hazardous mercury exposures, especially from dental amalgam.
  • Consumers for Dental Choice
Consumers for Dental Choice was formed in 1996 by consumer advocates for the purpose of lobbying and legal support in the fight to promote access to mercury free dental care. They are involved in numerous legal and consumer affairs including state and federal legislative and regulatory fights, as well as support for individual mercury free dentists whose licenses are under threat by state dental boards.
  • DAMS
DAMS, Inc. (stands for Dental Amalgam Mercury Syndrome) is a nationwide consumer support group, a grassroots organization dedicated to educating the public about the health hazards associated with mercury that leaks from amalgam dental restorations. Networking and support for people whose health has been affected by dental mercury.
  • Mercury Policy
The Mercury Policy Project is a project of the Tides Center formed in 1998 to raise awareness about the threat of mercury contamination. We work to promote policies to eliminate mercury uses, reduce the export and trafficking of mercury, and significantly reduce mercury exposures at the local, national, and international levels.
  • No Mercury
Established to support state-level efforts to remove mercury from vaccines, amalgams and other health/medical products.
  • Poison Metal
A good informative site with consumer-level information and links on chronic mercury toxicity, in Danish, German, and English.
Citizen Issue Advocacy Groups for Fluoride
  • Fluoride Action Network
The Fluoride Action Network is an international coalition seeking to broaden public awareness about the toxicity of fluoride compounds and the health impacts of current fluoride exposures. Along with providing comprehensive and up-to-date information on fluoride issues to citizens, scientists, and policymakers alike, FAN remains vigilant in monitoring government agency actions that may impact the public's exposure to fluoride.
  • Atlanta Dental Fluorosis Project
Lillie Center staff are reaching out into churches, schools, community groups, and the general population to find and photograph dental fluorosis on citizens’ teeth and to interview on film parents and teens who have the condition. Why do our kids have those spots on their teeth?
  • Fluoridefreedentist.com
The site was developed by Bruno Sharp, D.D.S., as a result of his fluoride studies, to try to help individuals to find a professional who did not use fluoride in their practice, or give patients the option to waive fluoride treatment. In addition, there are other key features including access to the world’s largest database of abstracted and referenced articles, studies and news about fluoride.
  • Fluoride History
The History of Fluorine, Fluoride and Fluoridation.
  • Keepers of the Well
Citizens for Safe Drinking Water, a multi-state local citizens' coalition.
  • No Fluoride
Respected Medical Professionals and Scientists are warning that water fluoridation has dangerous long-term health consequences.
  • Second Look
Second Look is a national non-profit initiative (a Tides Center project) that evolved from grassroots frustration with public policies such as water fluoridation, that are so controversial that useful, factual information becomes almost impossible for the public and even professionals to sort out.
